The renovated Restaurant Lia serves its guests the historical flavors of Georgia with a modern twist right in the center of Helsinki. Experience how traditional recipes are taken to a new level, offering completely new taste experiences.
Designed by award-winning chef Luka Khinkiladze, the menu features surprising flavor combinations that bring Georgia’s rich culinary tradition to life with a new and innovative approach. Historic recipes, millennia-old flavors, and today’s gastronomic thinking merge into a magnificent whole under the roof of a historic building.
Historical location
Restaurant Lia is a place where two cultures meet harmoniously. Our beautiful restaurant is located in a historic building designed by the famous Theodor Höijer. We couldn't ask for a better place to tell our story.

Special wines from Georgia
Our restaurant’s new wine list has been designed in collaboration with Tazo Tamazashvili, who was awarded the Best Sommelier of Georgia in 2018. Tazo’s selection supports the unique flavors of our cuisine and showcases Georgia’s rich winemaking traditions.
Our wine list features specialties from small wineries, each reflecting their own regional diversity. Our selection includes traditional Georgian grape varieties such as Mtsvane, Kisi and Saperavi, as well as rarer varieties such as Shavkapito and Dzelshavi.
In Georgia, the first wines were made in egg-shaped clay pots called qvevri. The historical qvevri method is still used today, and you can taste qvevri wines in our restaurant.
